“Alex, I wanted to have your personal emails so that we can stay in touch and I know that we normally
say that all good things come to an end – well I don’t believe it.
I know that we have had lots of good

Thanks so much for your quick turn around on this file. The MEC and agreement have been sent down the street for a walk into Cabinet tomorrow morning. – MGM [Dept. of Natural Resources, Prov. of NB]
We did indeed have a whirlwind week (or as Alex refers to it “the Alberta Clipper”). In effect we managed to go from an early draft of the CanUS_– agreement, a second draft of the CanUS_____ agreement and a draft of the _______ Shareholders agreement to execution of all three in the period of three days. Much of this is due to the contributions of your Alex Mills. He not only in our view provided the department with excellent legal and common sense advice, but also provided a balanced view which showed concern for all parties. As a result we were able to come to win-win terms in all agreements far faster than we could realistically have hoped for based on some of our previous experiences. Indeed we felt that Alex went “above and beyond” the call of duty in many ways and that we all owe him a very big “thank you”. We would appreciate it if you would pass this note on to Alex with our appreciation for his stellar efforts. – JH & RB [Prov. of Alberta]
………… John speaks for everyone involved when he said that you went “”above and beyond”” the call of duty in resolving several of issues surrounding the agreements. Your advice was balanced, fair and above all your expedience was appreciated considering we had very serious deadlines. In my opinion you took what could have been a confrontational set of negotiations and resolved the issues to everyone’s satisfaction. In short Alex you did a fantastic job for all parties involves. I will be recommending your services to my colleagues in NBDAFA. – DW [Prov. of NB]
